This role was intended as a way for me to combine work and travel together, and the experience of working for a young start-up in the centre of Shanghai was one of the best experiences i have had to date.
The NetCircle have several exciting online community projects which i helped to develop onwards and my decision to leave was solely due to the fact that i wanted to return to the UK. My day-to-day work here involved predominantly CSS & XHTML work at that time, with some design work in Photoshop as well.
Our online communities offered work which was closely linked to cutting edge social media and it was exciting to be involved with work that was fresh and innovative. We produced all work using Agile and Scrum, and this was my first experience in using this working method.
The NetCircle continue to go from strength-to-strength and i appreciate being able to have worked there for the time that i did. China itself was also an incredible experience and i continue to travel back to the country on holiday every few years.
Having spent a good 18 months in total living in China, i am now very happily settled back in London and plan to be here for many years yet. As such, i remain available for all London-based contract work.
